Student behavior, stress, and conflict are taking a real toll on classrooms—and on learning. The Y.E.S. Program is a school-day, cohort-based social-emotional learning experience that gives students concrete tools for self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthy coping so they can re-engage, learn, and thrive.
Designed specifically for middle and high school youth in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
Grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice that meets the needs of students impacted by adversity, poverty, and systemic disadvantage.
Hosted on campus during the school day, minimizing barriers to participation and supporting a positive school climate.
Over 16 weeks, students participate in a structured, engaging series of lessons and relationship-building experiences that help them understand themselves, manage emotions, and make healthy choices.
12-week Mind Matters curriculum focused on coping skills, emotional regulation, resilience, and healing from adversity.
4 supplemental lessons on goal setting and planning, social media use, self-esteem, and suicide prevention, all tailored to real issues students face daily.
16 total hours of classroom learning plus ongoing rapport-building through lunch, recess, events, and academic check-ins with facilitators.

The Y.E.S. Program is built on evidence-based curriculum and aligned with research on SEL, mental health, and protective factors for youth.
100% of surveyed students said the program positively impacted their life, helped them understand the difference between a thought and a feeling, supported their future goals, and that they would attend again.
69% reported improved relationships with peers and others; 77% reported better control of their emotions; 92.3% felt more capable of making healthy decisions in relationships and would recommend Healthy Visions to friends.
Research on school-based SEL programs shows reductions in depression, anxiety, and suicidal behaviors, along with improvements in academic outcomes and overall well-being
Y.E.S. is designed as a whole-child, whole-community model that strengthens communication and support around each student.
Weekly short video recaps for caregivers reinforce lesson concepts at home and make it easier to start healthy conversations.
Culturally responsive, trauma-informed facilitators and coordinators ensure content feels relevant, safe, and affirming for diverse student populations.
Skills in self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthy coping help reduce long-term risks such as depression, substance use, and suicide and build lasting resilience.
